At the end of the booking process you will be directed to a "Booking Confirmation" page with the booking number highlighted and all the elements related to the booking. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation with the details of your booking. However, you can always check your reservation in your Client Area, after logging in.

If the cancellation is made up to 48 hours before the start of the rental, there will be no cost or penalty for the Customer, and the full amount of the advance payment (including extras and optional services and covers) will be refunded;

If it’s made 48 hours before the start of the rental, 1 day's rental will be charged (excluding extras, optional services and covers), and the advance payment that exceeds the first day's rental will be refunded;

If the Customer doesn’t show up at the JLF rental station on the day and time indicated in the reservation, the rental will be considered as "no-show" and there will be no refund of the advance payment.

Cancellations must be requested by emailing reservas@jlfrent.pt

If the booking is made by a Company, the booking may be valid and paid in the name of the Company, which will appear on the rental contract as the Customer, and the driver may be a contractually bound employee.

You may also link an "Additional Driver" to your booking, who will also be able to pay for and collect the vehicle.

The owner of the Credit Card that made the prepayment for the booking must be the main driver or the additional driver, as described in the Rental Contract.

When you pick up your vehicle, you need to have with you:

  • The driving license of each driver;
  • Your passport or identification document;
  • A credit card in the name of one of the drivers.

A driver's license is required to rent a vehicle and must be presented when you picking up the vehicle (a valid licence).

Yes, you must return the vehicle with the same level of fuel that was delivered to you, and you will be responsible for paying for the missing fuel and consequently the refueling service.

When you arrive at the station to pick up your car, you can ask to change your car to the next group, when that option is available. JLF RENT will delivery the vehicle you want, update the rental contract and charge you the price difference.

We advise our customers to accompany a JLF RENT employee to check the vehicle condition is as described in the rental agreement. If you find any damage that hasn’t been recorded, you must inform JLF before you start using the vehicle, for the Rental Agreement can be updated. Additional damage to the vehicle will be charged at the end of the rental.

If new damage is identified when the vehicle is returned, you will be charged the amount corresponding to the damaged area. In the case of small damage, it will be analyzed regulated by the "Small Damage Assessment" document.

JLF RENT has a delivery and pick-up service, which means that you don't have to go to our station to pick up or deliver your vehicle, and it can be delivered and picked up at a location of your choice.

With JLF EasyGo service, the vehicle can be requested through our Reservations.

If you are unable to drop off and/or pick up your vehicle during our opening hours, you can request the JLF Late Check-in Service as an extra.

This service requires confirmation from JLF RENT and must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.

With JLF Mobile WIFI you can have Internet access to any device equipped with WI-FI.

With this service you can check your email, plan your trip, surfing in social networks, upload your vacation photos, all with no extra costs.

Additional cover can be purchased online in your Customer Area. You can also pay for extras at the station when you start the rental.

If you get a fine during your rental, you will receive a notification from the police or JLF RENT with the amount you will have to pay. In addition, you may be charged an administrative fee which will be included in the final invoice.

JLF RENT can authorize you to cross the border with the vehicle. This authorization change according to the category of vehicle and the countries you wish to visit. Please contact us with any questions you may have by email: reservas@jlfrent.pt or by telephone: +351 234 244 060.

As long as you have provided us with a valid email address, you will receive a copy of your invoice when the rental is completed. Alternatively, you can contact us directly and we will provide you with this copy.

In the event of damage to the bodywork, the amount of the excess is:
  • Light passenger vehicles – 0€
  • Light goods vehicles – 200€

Eliminates liability:
  • Damage to windows, mirrors, rear-view mirrors, tires and rims
  • In the event of theft
Does not cover:
  • Damage caused by negligence

  • Travel assistance and the CDW+WTP+TP protections

  • Inside the vehicle, loss or damage to keys, documents and fuel exchange

INTERMEDIATE PROTECTION
In the event of damage to the bodywork, the amount of the excess is:
  • The total amount, according to the respective table in force at the time of booking
Includes:
  • Travel assistance and CDW and WTP protection
Excludes:
  • Underbody and upper body damage
  • Inside the vehicle
  • Loss or damage to keys, documents and fuel change.
Does not cover:
  • Damage caused by negligence.
